The Bike Fleet
Across the three teams, riders competed on a fleet showcasing the very best of Giant and Liv performance bikes:
5 Giant Propel
3 Giant TCR
2 Liv EnviLiv
1 Liv Langma
1 Liv Avail Advanced
From the aerodynamic efficiency of the Propel and EnviLiv to the all-round capability of the TCR and Langma, together with the endurance comfort of the Avail Advanced, every bike performed flawlessly throughout the demanding 24-hour race.
A Weekend of Teamwork
Mondello24 is about much more than speed. Every lap demands commitment, every rider change requires precision and every hour presents a new challenge. Through the heat of Saturday, the darkness of the night and into the early hours of Sunday morning, our riders continued to deliver consistent performances while the support crew kept the bikes running perfectly, riders fuelled and morale high.
Collectively, the three teams completed an incredible 670 laps of the Mondello Park International Circuit—covering more than 2,300 kilometres over the 24-hour race. It was a remarkable achievement that reflected months of preparation, outstanding teamwork and unwavering determination from every rider.
The atmosphere around the paddock embodied everything that makes endurance cycling so special—friendly competition, mutual respect and a shared determination to keep turning the pedals.
A Standout Performance
A special congratulations goes to Team Liv Dublin, who produced a fantastic performance in a highly competitive Ladies category. After 24 hours of relentless racing, Amy, Sharon, Coleen and Petra secured an outstanding 4th place, missing out on a podium finish by just two laps.
Their consistency, determination and teamwork throughout the event were inspirational. To finish so close to the podium is a tremendous achievement and highlights the growing strength of women's cycling within Giant & Liv Dublin. With a performance like this, there's every reason to believe a podium finish is within reach next year.
Thank You
Events like Mondello24 are only possible because of the incredible people working behind the scenes.
A huge thank you goes to Brian Monahan, owner of Giant Store Dublin, whose vision, enthusiasm and continued support made the entire project possible. From supplying an outstanding fleet of Giant and Liv bikes to backing the teams and supporting the riders throughout their preparation, Brian's commitment to the Giant & Liv Dublin cycling community was instrumental in making this campaign such a success.
Special recognition also goes to Adrian McLeavey, whose contribution extended far beyond riding the event. Adrian took on the enormous task of organising the entire Giant & Liv Dublin Mondello24 campaign—recruiting riders, coordinating logistics, selecting the right bikes for each rider and ensuring every detail was in place well before race weekend. After months of planning and preparation, he then took his place on the start line to compete in his second Mondello24, balancing the demands of organiser and rider throughout the full 24 hours. His commitment and leadership were central to the success of all three teams.
Finally, sincere thanks to every rider, mechanic, volunteer, family member and supporter. Your encouragement, hard work and dedication kept the teams rolling through every hour of the race.
Looking Ahead
Every rider who represented Team Giant & Liv Dublin should be immensely proud of what was achieved. Completing a 24-hour endurance race requires months of preparation, complete trust in your teammates and the determination to keep pushing when fatigue sets in.
Mondello24 2026 was another memorable chapter for Giant & Liv Dublin. The performances, friendships and team spirit displayed throughout the weekend have laid the foundations for an even stronger return in 2027.
Congratulations to everyone involved—we'll be back, stronger than ever in 2027, and chasing that podium.
